Mario Reis is the Pivot of The Magnetocaloric Project - University of Aveiro. Researcher of the Centre for Research in Ceramics and Composite Materials-CICECO, he devotes most of his time to this project.

1. Physical/magnetic properties of manganites, superconductors and intermetallics.

2. Physical/magnetic features of new materials.

3. Magnetocaloric effect.

4. Scientific instrumentation: magnetometry, vacuum techniques, cryogenics, automation, electronics, etc.

5. Magnetism at low dimension.

6. Molecular magnetism.

7. Nanomagnetism.

8. Fundamentals of Tsallis non-extensive statistics.

9. Magnetic models developed with the non-extensive statistics.

10. Complexity, metastability and non-extensivity.
